I have been a library media specialist for the past 33 years, from Roosevelt Junior High School to New Bedford High School to Bishop Stang High School. My most recent project focuses on diversity, to make sure that all students are represented in our school library collection and programming. With the support of our student Diversity Council, the Bishop Stang Library will be hosting a Human Library event and starting a Library of Things. I am also the lead researcher for the New Bedford Whaling Museum's women's history project Lighting the Way: Historic Women of the SouthCoast, which includes a website, app, walking trail and school curriculum.
