Mythbusters in the Library: An Information Literacy Unit

This session will provide an overview of a unit in which elementary students ultimately explore (and explode!) the veracity of statements they’ve been told, such as “wear a coat or you’ll catch a cold” or “dogs are color blind.” In this session, we will share unit resources, highlight revisions we’ve made over the years in response to students’ changing information-seeking strategies, and view sample myth busting posters and other media our students have created to share their learning.
