School Librarian Role in AP Capstone

Since 2014 more high schools in Massachusetts are adding College Board’s AP Capstone program to their course offerings with school librarians called upon to teach the content. Early planning for a high school librarian’s involvement can better set the tone for support and potentially rethink the nature of research skills development in the district. The Hands-on-Workshop will allow Massachusetts high school librarians, whose schools are considering the AP Capstone program, to develop an individual proposal of library support that includes the organization, resource use, and content to build the best program for their students.
